PROCEEDS


As "Coloursfresh," is devoted to our " Natural Heritage, " and " Cultural Heritage,  both wildlife , landscapes and buildings the aim is to donate what it can to promote and help look after some of these things even in a small way.
So far it has been possible to donate the following -

> Purchase an old variety Gloucestershire Apple Tree called "Severn Bank," as part of a new " Apple Heritage Trail
  in our Parish.
> Purchase a bird box for blue tits -great tits etc. for the Parish.
> Make a donation to Deerhurst Church towards the "St. Alfredge -Look to the Future Project."
> Give a donation to the " Alex Ross Wallace and Grommit Hospital Appeal in Bristol.
> Give a donation to The Multiple Scherosis Society.


Thank you  - very much to everyone who have supported " Coloursfresh, ," and " The Apperley and Deerhurst
History and Heritage Alive," activities. The website will be published soon!

"Heritage Projects," undertaken so far include -

> A display in Tewkesbury Museum covering the History of our Parish with local stories to tell.
> Some village "Apple Pressing Days, " where apples were donated and the children had the chance to press apples for themselves.
> A play called " Farmer Dipper Charger the Bull and the Red Tomatoes ," based on a true character that lived at Green Farm Apperley in the 1850s.
> A Christmas Card event depicting 12 village scenes in the parish in sepia.
> Planting an old " Gloucestershire Heritage  Apple Trail," throughout the parish of old varieties that used to grow here but have long since gone.
> A " Winter Watch, "  where village children have been watching wildlife from Nov 2011 until the end of Feb 2012 and then painting and recording their observations.
